Our first stop for Chinese food in West Kelowna is right downtown at Golden Chopsticks Restaurant. A fairly tight menu keeps you from feeling overwhelmed with choice, or you can keep things extra simple with their dinner menu for 1-8 people. We suggest the Singapore Rice Noodle dish or ask for a vegetarian substitution on a classic dish and enjoy some Ginger-fried Tofu. Bring cash for an extra 10% off.

Another popular choice for Chinese food in Westbank is Mei Wei. Known for their tasty bbq and monthly specials, Mei Wei uses fresh and high-quality ingredients in their recipes. Located in the Super 8 in West Kelowna, the Royal Wok Restaurant is currently only offering takeout and delivery. Try one of their specialty dishes like the Hunan Shrimp or Ginger Beef or stick with their classics. We loved the Crab Meat Cheese Wontons and Wor Wonton Soup.

This gem runs a tight ship with a small menu that packs a flavourful punch. We suggest the Sesame Chicken or any of their chow mein dishes.

For over three decades, Mekong in Kelowna has served people fresh and delicious Chinese cuisine. The new location seats up to 171 and you can rent event and meeting spaces. Dishes at Mekong feel like a new twist on old favourites. Try their beef in black sauce, it’s a sweet and buttery delicious dish. If you’re not into beef, the almond chicken is delicious and the deep fried prawns are amazing. Don’t forget to add an order of the veggie spring rolls – they’re addictive. Feeling indecisive? If you’re looking for bigger portions and a cozy, homey feel, Chan Fortune is a must. A short 20 minute walk or 4 minute drive from The Shore, Chan Fortune is a small but bustling space with really friendly staff and delicious food. We suggest the Ginger Chicken or Salt and Pepper Squid.

Bubble Tea in Kelowna
After dinner, treat yourself to a dessert in the form of bubble tea at Milk & Sugar Bubble Tea Cafe. There are two boards’ worth of bubble tea to choose from but don’t let that overwhelm you – you really can’t go wrong with any choice. You can get blended ice cream and/or fresh fruit into some of the drinks, turning them into the richest and most decadent teas around. Bonus: they also serve a full menu of Chinese food so you can stay for a full meal and a drink. We recommend the Fresh Blueberry Mango with added lychee & green apple poppings or the Strawberry Dragon Fruit Cheesecake (but be careful, this one is almost a full meal!).
